Hi! My name is Daniel Fox and I am a Piano Technician in the Los Angeles area. I also hold Bachelor of Music in jazz trumpet from the University of Southern California.
As a performer and musician myself I understand the importance of having a well maintained instrument. Not only does it sound better, but it can give you the confidence to take your playing to the next level.
In an advancing technological world, I find solace in the world of pianos. Nothing makes me happier than unlocking an instrument’s full potential for the people who love and need music in their lives.
I service the GREATER LOS ANGELES area! I am located in Atwater Village and offer friendly rates to my East Side Neighbors including:
Silverlake, Los Feliz, Echo Park, Atwater Village, Frogtown, Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena and more!

Is your piano sounding a little wonky? It could be time for a fresh tuning! There are roughly 230 strings on your piano, and the age, temperature and relative humidity changes in your environment can affect the tension of these strings, causing your piano to go out of tune. Every piano is different due to its size, shape, and the phenomenon known as inharmonicity, which affects all pianos in their own unique way.
At the very least, it’s advisable to tune your piano once a year. Not only does this ensure a more pleasant play experience, but it also extends the life of the strings, and keeps the tension of your piano at an equilibrium, ultimately extending your piano’s life
Pianos can collect years of dust and debris from their environments, especially that grand that looks so good with the lid open! It can sit inside the piano forever and can affect the playability. Taking a piano apart occasionally and giving it a thorough cleaning in all the nooks and crannies will make your piano feel very happy! You never know what kind of treasure you’ll find inside your grandma’s old piano.
Broken string? Clicking notes? Notes that don’t make a sound? Maybe your keys are all at different heights.
I’ve got you covered!
The piano action is the system of around 100 individual parts for each individual key! The action translates your key press into a the note you want to hear. Most of these parts can be adjusted to dial in each keys optimum performance.
